Birce Akalay Signs New Advertising Deal

Birce Akalay, whose lead role in the second season of the series Mezarlik has been met with great interest, has signed yet another advertising deal.

These days, Birce Akalay is in the spotlight both for the second season of Mezarlik, directed by veteran filmmaker Abdullah Oguz, and for the sold-out theater play Pride and Prejudice (Gurur ve Onyargi). Portraying the character of Chief Inspector Onem in Mezarlik, Birce Akalay has recently signed an advertising deal with the renowned textile brand Network, following her collaboration with the automobile brand BMW. Akalay will soon step in front of the camera for the brand’s spring-summer campaign.

On another note, it has been learned that the talented actress has once again received an offer for the series Ask (Love), which Ay Yapım will produce for Disney Plus. If Akalay accepts the offer this time, she will reunite with director Burak Mujdeci, with whom she previously worked on the series Kus Ucusu (As the Crow Flies) and Bir Derdim Var (I Have a Problem). Detailed footage for the international scenes of Ask, written by Banu Kiremitci Bozkurt, was shot in Madrid in recent weeks.
